WHY DO I HAVE TO VERIFY MY PASSPORT INFORMATION?
As your Nike order is dispatched from abroad, local customs regulations
require verification of your national ID, passport or delivery
information to clear and deliver your order. Don't worry—we make
clearing your order easy.
Your carrier for your order will email a secure link so you can confirm
your Know Your Consumer (KYC) information. After you confirm your
information, the carrier will clear and deliver your order. Delivery
delays may result if you don't confirm your information within 30 days
of receiving the carrier's first email. To ensure prompt delivery, the
carrier may send you text (SMS) and email reminders or call you to
confirm your information.
FAQs
What documents do I need to provide to confirm my KYC information?
Indian citizens can use either one of the documents below for
verification:
- Aadhaar
- Voter ID
- Passport
- PAN card
When uploading a copy of your Aadhaar card, Voter ID or passport,
remember to submit copies of the front and back. If you're using your
passport for verification, ensure that it's still valid as expired
passports are not accepted. If you're using your PAN card, you'll also
need to submit a separate proof of address.
Please be aware that regulations require the address on your
documents to match your order's delivery address. Inconsistent
information can cause a potential delay in processing your package at
customs.
I'm a foreign national living in India—how can I can confirm my KYC
information?
A passport, visa or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card can be used to
confirm your information. Additionally, customs will require proof of
your address: a hotel booking receipt, stay visa, rental agreement, or
you may provide proof of living with a relative or friend to confirm
your address.
What if the address on my documents and the delivery address don't
match?
If the address on your identification document doesn't match the
delivery address, your order may be Returned to Sender (RTS). To avoid
this, you must submit one of the following proof-of-address documents
together with your identification document:
- Bank account statement
- Electricity
- Hotel booking receipt
- LPG connection receipt
- Rent agreement
- Hostel ID card/university ID with hostel fee receipt
- Driving licence
If you have stated your workplace as the order's delivery address,
please submit an Employee ID copy that includes your office address.
For all of the above, please ensure that the address stated on the
proof-of-address document matches the delivery address on the order to
avoid processing delays at customs.
I didn't submit the correct documents—what should I do?
Don't worry, the carrier will contact you directly if you submitted
documents not listed above, or if they need additional documentation to
verify your information and clear your order through customs.
Do I have to verify my KYC information every time I place an order?
No, once you place an order, the carrier will keep your information on
file to clear future orders automatically. You won't be contacted again
to confirm your information unless you have changed your legal name or
address since your last KYC verification.
I've already verified my KYC information—why is the carrier asking
again?
You'll be contacted by the carrier again only if you placed an order
that has a different name, delivery address, email or phone number than
what the carrier has on file from a previous order.
